James Greene & Associates endorses the need for preparedness.
Strategos International and James Greene & Associates (JGA) are teaming up to help churches become more secure.
JGA specializes in insuring churches and ministries while Strategos helps those same types of organizations minimize security risks.
“In 2016 we’re looking for opportunities to better serve our clients and this is chief among them,” said Kurt Hetherington, president of JGA. “We see the need for security preparation as acts of violence continue to increase in the United States against houses of worship and other organizations. This alliance will help us meet those needs.”
James Greene & Associates is one of the nation’s largest independent insurance agencies, insuring more than 3,500 churches and ministries. Hetherington encourages churches to partner with Strategos to minimize risk to their congregations.
Strategos’ Firm Foundation church security program provides:
- A facility site inspection
- A personal consultation with church leaders tasked with security
- Intruder response training for leaders and volunteers
- Training on improving or creating a church security ministry
- A report with customized recommendations
“It’s a roadmap specifically designed for the church or organization,” said Hetherington.
“We’re excited to partner because they have expertise in this area.”
Violent acts at churches have increased by 700 percent since 2007.
“This is not a trend we see going down,” said Vaughn Baker, president of Strategos. “Most churches don’t know where to start.”
