Does your school desire or need a physical security audit or site survey?
Strategos can personally visit your facility or campus and conduct an on-site review of existing construction, access control and a review of multiple functions related to criminal deterrence and response within the physical school setting. Most existing schools have not been designed with contemporary security concerns of general property crime or the more important intruder response/active shooter threats that schools are being confronted with. Strategos has extensive experience in both reviewing and providing a written report of findings and recommendations to school clients over the past 5 years. We have trained and consulted with over 13,000 school personnel representing several hundred schools in 15 states during this time period.
This was amazing! I think every teacher should take this class. It prepares you much better than any college class I ever took!
I totally dreaded going to Friday’s professional development for Sedalia #200 Public School. I was very nervous about how the topic would be presented and I did NOT want to participate in the simulated intruder scenarios. HOWEVER, today I am REALLY GLAD that I attended. I left feeling empowered and grateful about what I learned. It was one of the best professional development trainings that I have ever attended.
The presentation and information are invaluable! The real world scenarios are educational and nerve wracking, which is exactly what we teachers and staff need to be exposed to and taught to handle!! Thank you for all you do to open eyes and minds to this very serious issue!!! August 6, 2012
Brilliant!!! The best hands on training and most useful I have ever had!! October 19, 2012
Great information!! Instructor did a great job of keeping it interesting. Loved the “hands on” part. I feel this should be required for all classroom teachers. February 25, 2012
My background in teaching in a correctional facility and Division of Youth Services facility has not prepared me for an intruder in a public school setting. This course has done that. I now feel more confident in working with my colleagues in keeping my students safe and secure. February 2, 2013
I did not take this course seriously when I signed up for it. I had an eye opener after being involved. I had been so naïve, possibly at the expense of other’s lives. These men did an awesome job waking me up!
Information was very well presented!! The role playing scenario brought home to me how long three minutes actually is when you are scared!!! So empowering to be able to protect your room more than by just turning off the lights and locking the door! Excellent!! January 2, 2013
Instructor did an excellent job with this inservice. This was by far the best inservice I have attended in over 14 years. Great Job!! I would recommend this to any school district. February 6, 2012

Changing the areas we reside in to deter criminals from committing acts in our school communities is the primary goal of these physical security reviews. With design and the planning that goes in to the creation of new schools and the reformation of older school facilities, staff and students within these schools can feel safer at all hours.
A review of the below areas is conducted on-site. This review can be in conjunction with contracted architects for planning of new construction or it can be a review or incremental improvements to existing school facilities.
- Perimeter and interior access control
- Mail, Packages and Delivery systems
- Traffic and barrier planning
- CCTV surveillance
- Intrusion detection (after hours or real-time notification)
- Public address/intercom system review
- Response capabilities (Security & Employees)
